Driveand access technology solutions to increase efficiency and occupational safety

The choice of rail transport is not a random decision - it is one of the safest and most reliable methods of transport. It is, therefore, essential that the maintenance and assembly work on rolling stocks meets this high standard. Our work platforms for industrial and transport companies also make up a significant part of our product portfolio.

For this reason, Lock offers a wide range of drive solutions in conjunction with access technology that are specially designed to carry out work on rail vehicles with maximum work safety and efficiency. So if you are looking for height and side-adjustable maintenance platforms and work platforms, you have come to the right place: we take care of positioning at the right working height, as ergonomic working and optimized processes are our top priority!

What we offer

Modular systems:

We understand that needs may vary depending on the project. Our modular systems allow you to create customised space, even for retrofits, so that our solutions can be perfectly adapted to your project.

Automated gap bridging:

We enable safe access to the train roof by means of automated gap bridging using flaps and extensions. So you can concentrate on your work without any security risks.

Customised railing systems:

The safety of your employees is our top priority. With our custom-fit dynamicguardrail systems, we can guarantee maximum safety at work.

Integrated project management:

At Lock, we support you throughout the entire project and ensure that your requirements are met - from concept creation to completion. This ensures maximum planning reliability.

Our product range includes:

Simple side working platforms for maintenance work:

Our drive technology in combination with side working platforms offers a safe and efficient way to carry out maintenance work on rail vehicles in elevated areas, resulting in improved safety for workers and faster completion of tasks. The risk of falls is minimised by the safety devices fitted to the platforms. In addition to increasing work safety, they can also increase the efficiency of maintenance work, as they allow workers to move around freely and carry their tools and equipment with them. This saves time and enables maintenance tasks to be completed more quickly.

Customised work platforms for coating or finishing:

We design and develop this type of work platform according to the specific project requirements. They can be customized in terms of size, height, load capacity and other features to perform specific tasks in the painting and surface finishing process. As precision is crucial when painting rail vehicles, work platforms are used. This minimizes the risk of paint splashes or irregularities.

Drive technology and multi-storeywork stands for assembly or maintenance:

These structures are indispensable for mastering more complex tasks. They are often used for assembly, repair and maintenance work and are designed to be stable and resilient so that heavy materials can be transported and used safely. This allows maintenance work to be carried out at different heights and areas of the vehicle, including the roof, side walls and underside, resulting in improved safety for workers and faster completion of tasks. In addition, workers can work on different levels of the vehicle at the same time, which can speed up the work process.

You can rely on our experience and commitment to successfully complete your projects.
We are happy to assist you and are your partner for fast, safe and efficient rolling stock maintenance and assembly.

Stationary roof working platforms in the rail sector

Lock drives are almost always used in the construction of roof working platforms.

The Lock rack and pinion drives are fitted for lateral adjustment of the drawers. They push the platform sideways with a positive fit up to the train. Work on the overhead contact line and in the upper section of the train is therefore ergonomic and risk-free. Lateral adjustments are possible with Lock rack and pinion gears and are electromechanically coupled.
